Recycling Fashion - It's Not Just Green - It's Fabulous!

I know, I know!  Everyone is gaga over the opening of Nordstroms Rack - this blogger included!  They have fabulous things by some of the best designers.  Let's face it, especially with this insane weather, we are all looking forward to warmer temps and brighter colors - including our wardrobes.  Farmington has an app for that!  When you're in the mood for shopping and looking for that little extra something special to build or add a look, look no further than our hidden gem, Miso Chic Boutique, formerly known as Stile Boutique.  This is first class consignment! 

Owner, Saragrace Tramont, has an eye for style, trend and value!  Her discerning taste brings familiar labels such as White House Black Market, Ann Taylor, Talbots, J.Crew, Jones New York and more at unbelieable prices! Step through the door of her shop and it's like stepping into a boutique you would find in SoHo, Chelsea or Tribeca.

The truth of the matter for some of us is we don't always feel like a trek to the Mall, fighting for parking at newer style "Shoppes" shopping centers, waiting in crazy lines during "coupon sales" or taking our chances with the quality of items purchased online.  For fashion mavens, there is a viable alternative.

Is this consignment? Sure.  Is it consignment that looks brand new off the rack? We live in an age where reducing, reusing and recycling is the mantra for many of us.  This isn't limited to newspapers, plastic, glass and cans.  The true clothes horse knows the value of a dollar while being fabulous!  Consignment is becoming more and more popular as a result of this way of thinking.  A personal example, on a recent trip, I picked up a small wallet/credit card holder by a little icon known as Gucci.  This item was vintage Gucci and would normally sell for approximately $100-$150 on Ebay or some other online warehouse.  I got it for $15!  Yeah me or what?

The beauty of consigment is not only finding something special in mind but also being able to perhaps recoup a bit from a previous fashion investment.  Saragrace is always looking for new items but with the eye of Anna Wintour!  Items must be clean and in mint condition.  Keep in mind the general rule of thumb when it comes to fashion - if you haven't worn it in 2 years, it's time to go.  Instead of throwing it away, consider consignment!
