The Farmington Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its annual Angling Gear Tag Sale from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, November 7th, 2013 at the Farmington Community & Senior Center located at 321 New Britain Ave. in Unionville. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Saltwater and freshwater rods and reels, flies and lures, fly and spin fishing gear as well as fly tying equipment and materials will likely be available at bargain prices. Questions? The mission of Trout Unlimited is to conserve, protect and restore cold water fisheries which include the Farmington, Pequabuck, Scantic, Hockanum and Takerhoosen Rivers, Salmon Brook, and many smaller streams which support trout and salmon. Chapter projects include steam structure, bank and flow restoration, river cleanups, the "Trout in the Classroom" program, fishing derbies for children and Project Healing Waters for veterans.
