Ed Hackett, Dave Mudano, Glenn Purple, Robert Guertin Honored at CFO of the Year Awards

Hartford, CT (November 6, 2012) – The Hartford Business Journal this morning recognized four Hartford County Chief Financial Officers selected for its annual CFO of the Year Awards. This ceremony recognizes a commitment to financial excellence and outstanding performance in the public, private and nonprofit business sectors.

 

Winners were chosen among 16 finalists. The 2012 CFO of the Year winners, include:

 

  • Nonprofit: Ed Hackett, The Village for Families & Children
  • Private (less than 100 employees): Robert Guertin, Specialty Printing, LLC
  • Private (101+ employees): Dave Mudano, Orthopedic Associates of Hartford
  • Public: Glenn Purple, EDAC Technologies Corporation

 

“We are thrilled to have honored Hartford County’s top Chief Financial Officers,” said Gail Lebert, Publisher of the Hartford Business Journal. “The role of the CFO in any company or organization is extremely important and we commend all of today’s winners and finalists on their commitment to financial excellence.”

 

The event also featured a keynote address by Ken Cook, Founder and Managing Director of Peer to Peer Advisors, the largest independent peer advisory board services company in New England. 

 

The CFO of the Year Awards are presented by Hartford Business Journal and sponsored by Ovation Benefits and TD Bank (presenting sponsor) and event sponsors Advanced Copy Technologies, Inc., Comcast Business Class, Cox Business, Grant Thornton and WDRC AM 1360.
