The Senior Café sponsored by the FHS Music Department on Friday, October 26 at Farmington High School. This event was a dinner performance provided by the TRI M Music Honor Society FHS Chapter and the Friends of Music.
For the past five years, senior citizens have been invited to the high school cafeteria for a dinner and music provided by FHS musicians. The high school music department collaborates with the Farmington Social Services through director, Nancy Parent and the Senior Center Director, Nancy Walker in town. This year was once again well attended and the seniors stayed to last solo, leaving with plates of food to take home.
High School students collect the food for dinner, serve the dinner, and provide the entertainment for the event. The parent organization of Friends of Music prepares the meal for the seniors. Farmington High School students and senior citizens look forward to seeing their friends each year at several events offered just for our senior citizens by the music department.
