The Annual District-wide Music Festival is at Farmington High School tonight at 7:00 pm sponsored by the Farmington Public Schools Music Department. This year's District-wide features two concerts with all of the bands from West Woods Upper Elementary School, Irving A. Robbins Middle School and Farmington High School. Each evening there will be a different set of bands with a combined piece at the end of the concert. The District-wide festivals highlight one genre of the music program (band, choral and strings) each year. The collaboration of teachers and students is evident in their performances together each evening. Teachers plan the band literature, large group rehearsals, transportation of students and the final program a year in advance. Parents and students can appreciate the breadth of the band program across grades 5-12 through this music festival. There are no tickets for the event and it is free to the public.
