East Farms Elementary School Hosting “Spring Ahead 5K Road Race” March 30th

Lace up your running shoes and join East Farms Elementary School community as the PTO hosts the first annual East Farms Spring Ahead 5K & Fun Run on Sunday, March 30th! Through participation and fundraising in the Farmington community, the East Farms PTO is proud to support our future leaders’ education. With this event, the PTO hopes to inspire children and adults to develop and maintain healthy bodies and minds – and have a great time doing it!

The PTO is currently looking for sponsors to help support this community-wide event, which will help defray the costs of the event as well as go towards the PTO’s fundraising goals. Financial sponsorships of any size are greatly appreciated, as are donated goods. The East Farms Spring Ahead 5K & Fun Run is presented in part by Hartford HealthCare Family Health Center.

The event begins at 11:15 a.m. with a mile fun-run for kids, a half-mile fun run for kids, and a mile fitness walk for all ages. Then, at 12pm, the 5K will begin. For more information on the event, and to register online, please visit www.fpsct.org/page.cfm?p=6875.
