Farmington Elementary Musicians star in the Main Street Singers performance

The following East Farms Elementary students performed in the The Main Singers in the annual spring concert on Saturday, April 26 at South Church in New Britain.

Over 100 singers in the Main Street Singers joined together from various central CT regions for a full hour performance of standard and contemporary choir music.

The Main Street Singers are a children’s choir based in New Britain, CT. It is  a non-profit organization that provides the opportunity for children to sing in choirs that build community, strive for artistic excellence, and foster a life-long love of music.

 East Farms music educator, Cathy Sullivan has encouraged students to audition for this group over the years.   She prepares them for auditions and encourages them to take advantage of this wonderful choral group.

Kate Smallidge is the junior choir director of the Main Street Singers.        Ms. Smallidge is also the vocal music teacher at Union Elementary School and East Farms Elementary School in Farmington
