The Farmington High School Music Department's annual winter concerts were performed despite a postponement for one of the concerts in the series. The inclement weather did not stop the performances by the high school musicians. Each year the FHS Winter Concerts span over two nights featuring two different concerts with over sixteen performing ensembles. One of the concert evenings a huge snowstorm postponed the concert to a later date.
The Winter Concerts feature over 550 students in the school's bands, choirs and orchestras. Both evening concerts were attended by a full auditorium of parents, families and residents in town. A special ending to the evening is the combined piece from MESSIAH, the Hallelujah Chorus. Alumni from FHS perform with the high school musicians each year. Some of the Alum come back from over twenty years, this year there was a grand turnout.
