Local Senior Citizens Enjoy Jazz and Strings at Farmington High School

Farmington High School Jazz/Strings Senior Café, on June 10 a BIG Success.

The Farmington High School Music Department presented another Senior Café for senior citizens in town on Tuesday, June 10 in the high school cafeteria. This is an annual event featuring the high school Jazz Band, Jazz Combo and Chamber Orchestra. Refreshments were served.

The Senior Cafe was well attended by senior citizens from town and parents.

An important goal of the music department is to  bring music to the community and provide events for our senior citizens in town.  This year, the FHS Music Department performed at Middle Woods, Village Gate, the Gables and New Britain Hospital.

The annual fall Senior Café brings about 60 senior citizens to our high school.  The Rotary Club also sponsors a holiday senior citizen lunch with FHS musicians providing entertainment.
