FHS Jazz Musicians serve their community

Students from the Farmington High School Jazz Combo perform in their community often throughout the year. Annual performances include: the Chamber of Commerce, the Senior Center, and the Farmington Marriott.  Recently the FHS Jazz Combo performed at Middlewoods Nursing Home on January 31st.  The students performed several sets of  jazz music and during their breaks they had a "greet and meet" session with the residents.   The Farmington High Music Department is committed to community service and the development of citizenship through music.  Students have authentic experiences in sharing their talents in the community while learning the importance of serving others. Farmington High School pride includes student musicians who collaborate well with their peers, communicate through the language of music, and are leaders in their town and community.
