First Church Auction Features Antiques and Collectibles

Are you looking for antiques or collectibles?  Plan to attend the yearly First Church Auction on Friday, January 17th between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at Amistad Hall, 75 Main Street, Farmington. In case of snow, the Auction will be held on Saturday, January 18th.

 

There will be a silent auction beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. All items will be on display and a minimum bid will be listed on an accompanied paper plus a description of the item. Winners will be announced at 9:30 p.m.

The live auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m.  Articles in either the silent or live auction may include original artwork, prints, handmade rugs, knitted articles and clothing, small furniture, jewelry, sets of china, or glassware.

Refreshments including pies, pizza, coffee, soda and water will be sold throughout the evening.

 

The auction is a fundraising event for The First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652, and all profits will support programs of the church.  Those wishing to donate items prior to the event may do so on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14-15, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  No truck pick-up is available – only small items accepted. No  “tag sale” items will be accepted at this sale.  Contact Art Hetherington at 860-673-9452 for information or help.

 

The First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652, is located at 75 Main Street in Farmington, near Miss Porter’s School.  Sunday services are held at 10:00 a.m. For further information, call the church office at 860-677-2601 on Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or view the website at www.firstchurch1652.org.
