Next time you drive over the Vincent DiPietro Memorial Bridge or the bridge in Unionville Center you may notice how plain it looks and then you realize the kissing balls have been taken down. By the end of January the greens start to brown and their time is done. As I drove down I realized how stark the town looks without them and how beautiful and festive they make Farmington look.
These wonderful decorations could not be possible without the generous support of the following individuals: Michael Cheshire, Apricots Restaurant & Pub, Valenti Wealth Management, ebenefits Group, MotorLease Corporation, Monarch Jewelers, Union Eye Works, Farmington Family Dentistry, Landworks Reality, Pamela Nielson, UVIA, LeBouthiellier Family, Barbara Brennenman, Paula Ray, Metro Realty, Tomasso Brothers, Rotary Club, Exchange Club of Farmington, Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Evenjen Academy, Nancy Nickerson, Dental Associates, Konover Residential Corp., Miss Porter's School, HRP Associates, Companions and Homemakers, EDM CT., Farmington Garden Club, Yumi Japanese Steak House, Hillstead Museum, Dr. Sohrab Zahedi, May Bone & Walsh, S&I Realty Associates, UCONN Health Center, One Beacon Insurance Group, Farmington Bank and Simon Konover Company.
Thank you so much for your support of this program and for joining our efforts to strengthen and grow Farmington's business community and enhance the Town's image. With continued support from the community we can bring the program back next year. As much as we hate to see them come down it’s a sure sign that spring is on the way.
