Lecture on Slavery - Past & Present presented by Harriet Beecher Stowe Center

On Sunday, February 2, at 4:00 p.m., Katherine Kane, Executive Director of the Harriet Beecher Stow Center, will speak about slavery as it existed in Stowe’s own time as well as the contemporary tragedy of human trafficking in the modern world.  The lecture will take place in Amistad Hall, 75 Main Street, Farmington. There is a $10.00 admission fee.

The First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652, is located at 75 Main Street in Farmington, near Miss Porter’s School.  Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. For further information, call the church office at 860-677-2601 on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or view the website at www.firstchurch1652.org.
