Steven Mirassou-Thuman of Mirassou Winery will visit Maximum Beverage in Farmington Wednesday, May 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. for a tasting event. He and brother-in-law David Mirassou represent the sixth generation of America’s oldest winemaking family, dating back to 1854 when their wine-making ancestor sailed from France to California with his prized grape cuttings. Mirassou is now an award-winning California winery. Steven travels around the country sharing the Mirassou story and introducing retailers to the bright, food-friendly wines of Mirassou, whose portfolio of eight includes Pinot Noir, Sunset Red, Chardonnay and Riesling. Maximum Beverage is located at 258 Main St., Farmington. For more information on the event, call 860-566-8282. For information on Mirassou Winery, visit http://www.mirassou.com.
