Newtown priest talks about an end to violence

St. James Parish, Farmington, is pleased to announce that on Sunday, October 6, the Reverend Kathleen Adams-Shepherd will be speaking and inviting conversation in our continuing series of Faith and Violence. Kathie is the Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Newtown, a position she has held since 1996.  Kathie found herself, last December 14, responding pastorally to the shootings of children and staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary.  Kathie and the parish, in the aftermath, have chosen to respond in a way of hope, trying to teach their children what it means to grow up in a world of violence, and what we might be as people if we became disengaged from violence and found a different path.

Please join us at 6:30 pm in the parish hall of St. James Parish, 3 Mountain Rd. (across from Noah Wallace Elementary School).  Refreshments will be provided and the event is free and open to the public.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
