REMINDER TO ALL UNIONVILLE PROPERTY OWNERS

HISTORIC DISTRICT SIGN UPS DUE DECEMBER 30, 2013.

If you sign up to designate your property as historic by this date, you will be able to take advantage of the terrific rehab tax credits that will take effect in July 2015.

The one-page sign-up form is available on the town website under Historic District Commissions (Unionville) and in the Town Planning Office. Just fill it out and return it to the Unionville Historic District and Properties Commission, Farmington Town Hall, 1 Monteith Dr., Farmington, CT 06032.

The commission’s first order of business in 2014 will be researching, writing and submitting the official report to the CT Trust for Historic Preservation and the Town TPZ. Because the very detailed process of obtaining an historic designation takes many months of work, the commission hopes to have a significant number of properties to present for a vote of approval in 2014. Please consider joining the Unionville Historic District. Call 860 673-5019 with questions or inquire at the Planning Office on the main level of the Farmington Town Hall, 1 Monteith Drive. More information is on the town website under Historic Districts: Unionville.
