Saturday is Irish Night at the Intensive Education Academy

The Friends of the Intensive Education Academy will host its annual Irish Night fundraiser on Saturday March 15 in IEA’s Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Auditorium, located at 840 North Main Street, West Hartford. The funds raised this year will help support student technology initiatives and sustain the Charles Dowd Food Pantry.

The evening will begin with appetizers and drinks at 5:00 PM followed by a traditional corned beef dinner. A children's menu will also be available.

The evening’s entertainment will include Irish Step dancers from the Griffith Academy of Dance located in Wethersfield, games and door prizes. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children. Children under 6 are free.

Tickets are available by calling the school at 860-236-2049 and tables may be reserved for 8 or more guests.

The Friends of IEA group is comprised of parents of students and alumnae, staff and friends and has continued to support the endeavors of IEA for over 37 years. The Intensive Education Academy provides a sound and appropriate education to students with Autism, Developmental Delay, Mild Emotional Disturbance, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, Speech & Language Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment, other Health Impairment and ADD-ADHD in a nurturing environment.
