WWUES and Union School Musicians perform in Honors Choir

Farmington students sing and sing…

On Friday, April 4, 2014, eight students from Union School and West Woods joined approximately 200 students from Connecticut in the CMEA (Connecticut Music Educators Association) Elementary Honors Choir.  Fifth graders Jack Dunphy, Kathleen Gombos, Natalie Wong and Benjamin Zarrella and fourth graders Irena Zervas, Ashton Gezelman, Kevin Robinson and Rita Kelly were selected to participate in an all-day choral festival for students in grades 4-6 which included almost six hours of rehearsal with a well-known guest conductor, Dr. Joy Hirokawa.  The day culminated with an impressive concert.  Congratulations to these students on their hard work and on an incredible concert!
