Afternoon Activities Canceled in Farmington Due to Snow

Farmington residents urge each other on Twitter to go slow.

A nor'easter moving north dropped the first snow of the season Wednesday afternoon and the large flakes had added up to several inches of accumulation by 1:30 p.m.

Farmington schools opted to finish the regular school day and dismiss at the regular time, however all afterschool and evening activities are canceled. EXCL programs will operate as usual.

Snow was predicted to amount to only a few inches of snow, with the real danger coming later this evening when snow is expected to turn to rain and ice may accumulate on the roads.
