Kids in the Kitchen at the Connecticut Historical Society

Do you have a child who loves to help out in the kitchen? Drop-in and visit our newest exhibit, Making Connecticut (which officially opens on May 25th), to explore our kitchens through time and learn how cooking has changed throughout Connecticut history - from the types of food that people ate to the ways that food was prepared. Before leaving, kids will be able to create and design their own apron to take home - perfect for your next cooking or baking project! Apron activity recommended for children ages 7 and under. Free on-site parking is available.

*Children will not actually be cooking during the program.*
