Our Lady of Calvary Hosts “We Lift Our Eyes”

On Wednesday, March 7 from 7-9 p.m., Sheri Dursin and Ann Mariano will present an evening program—“We Lift Our Eyes” — at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center, located at 31 Colton Street in Farmington.

Imagine how your outlook could change if you approached life with an “attitude of gratitude.”  This program invites you to reflect on your many blessings and to be thankful to God for all that you have.  We will also tackle the question: How can I be thankful to God when I carry so many burdens? During times of suffering, you are encouraged to lift your eyes to the LORD… the “Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121) and to recognize that God is there with us in the midst of every storm.  Reflecting on Scripture from the Psalms and from the Gospels, you will be encouraged to offer God the simplest gift of thanks… yourself.

Sheri Dursin and Ann Mariano are active members of St. John Fisher parish in Marlborough, Connecticut where they co-founded the Women’s Retreat Ministry. They have been offering spiritual programs for parish and retreat communities since 2007.
