Farmington Historical Society's Annual Fall Festival

Dozens of children and families came out to enjoy fall crafts and activities at the Old Stone Schoolhouse.

The Farmington Historical Society held its annual Fall Festival and Scarecrow Contest Sunday afternoon, and while the event yielded only a few homemade scarecrows, it brought out dozens of families and children to enjoy the day's events.

Many volunteers, included historical society members and Farmington High School students, helped young children with a variety of craft projects, including making pine cone birdfeeders using peanut butter and seed and ghosts with fabric and yarn. Inside the Old Stone Schoolhouse, Miss Wanda from the Farmington Library told scary stories for a rapt audience.
