Farmington Troop Joins National Girl Scout Event

Girl Scout Troop 66831 Travels to Washington, D.C. to "Rock the Mall."

Farmington’s Girl Scout Troop 66831 traveled to Washington, D.C. for a meeting of more than 250,000 Girl Scouts from around the world on June 8-10, 2012 as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Girl Scouts of America, Girl Scouts Rock the Mall: 100th Anniversary Sing-Along

Escorted by troop leaders Amy Rosenfield and Beth Andrews, the sixteen 6th graders and one senior girl scout went to the nation’s capital with funds raised and saved from years of cookie and magazine sales and from cupcake sales at this year’s Unionville Day celebration.

They did a little singing, participated in SWAPS, and toured many sites, of which they especially loved the National Zoo and the Museum of American History.
