Library Offering Free Concert with PBS-Aired Pianist

Friends of Farmington Library and Friends Remembrance Fund present Paul Bisaccia.

Mark Your Calendars for an extraordinary afternoon concert sponsored by the Friends Remembrance Fund and the Friends of the Farmington Library.

Paul Bisaccia, a prolific, versatile and renowned recording pianist will be performing from his vast repertoire which includes the great piano classics. He was the first artist to record the complete solo piano music of Gershwin. His PBS television show “Gershwin by Bisaccia" has been seen by millions and was dubbed into Mandarin Chinese for broadcast in Asia. Michael Feinstein calls "Paul Bisaccia and the Great American Piano," his second television show for PBS, imaginative, fun, well played and totally satisfying.”

The Hartt School, from which he graduated first in his class, honored Paul with the Alumnus of the Year Award and the Governor of Connecticut proclaimed Paul Bisaccia Day in the State of Connecticut.

Paul has recorded over 300 individual compositions covering a wide range of composers including the music of Chopin and Liszt.

The Friends Remembrance Fund sponsoring this concert receives donations from contributions which honor or are in memory of loved ones. Also funds are received for special occasions which include birthdays, anniversaries etc.

With these funds, the Friends Remembrance Fund Committee offers free cultural experiences throughout the year to the communities of Farmington and Unionville.

This concert is being billed as a family event and welcomes children who must be accompanied by a parent. It will take place on January 13, 2013 from 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Farmington Main Library 6 Monteith Drive. This concert is offered free to the Farmington and Unionville Communities. Refreshments will be served.
