Meet the Mormons Event Seeks to Educate on Temple, Religion

The event will be at the Farmington Main Library on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

With construction on the first Mormon temple in Connecticut underway along Farmington Avenue (Route 4), members of the Church of Latter-day Saints are making many efforts to educate the community about the project and its religion.

Several local Mormons are scheduled to do a presentation on the temple and religion at the Farmington Main Library Community Room on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Members of the public can ask questions about the temple and "Mormon beliefs and practices" at the event during a question and answer session.

In a release, the Church said that it hopes to offer a "non-evangelizing atmosphere" for people to ask questions.

The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library, which is located at 6 Monteith Drive in Farmington.
