Panera Cuts Baguette to Celebrate Opening

New business at 1600 Southeast Road raised money for local charities before opening in November.

The new Panera Bread in Farmington, Connecticut, located in the West Farms Shopping Center on 1600 Southeast Road, celebrated its grand opening on Nov. 13 with the company’s traditional “baguette cutting.”

Jeffrey Hogan (center), Chairman of Farmington’s Town Council, cut the baguette while Jenna Stolank (center, right) and Jessica Bania (center, left), both Managers of Panera Bread Farmington, kept it steady.

Those looking on were (from left to right): Carol Parker Presutti, President of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce; Wendy Kopp, Marketing Director, Panera Bread/Howley Bread Group; Tereza Jaya, General Manager of Panera Bread Farmington; Heather Levasseur, Connecticut Regional Training Manager at Panera Bread/Howley Bread Group; and Steph Metayer, Trainer and Pro Team Member, Panera Bread Farmington.

The cafe has generated 60 new jobs for the area.
