Services for the Elderly Make Bright Baskets to Cheer Homebound Seniors

Fruit, baked goods donated for 80 baskets.

The Board of Services for the Elderly put together 80 baskets and distributed them to homebound Farmington seniors and those who were recovering from illness, a loss or some tragedy in their lives. Highland Park donated the fruit and the Gables, Middlewoods, Avon Health Care, Arden Courts donated baked goods. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union made a financial donation.

Services for the Elderly's mission is to assist older citizens with maintaing their desired home life style realtive to meals, transportation, socialization, and home equipment and maintenance.

"The gift of giving continues to flourish in Farmington. It is so important to reach out and help one another. For a community to be whole and healthy it must be based on people’s love and concern for each other. I feel so fortunate to live in such a caring town,” said Chrissy Farrell, Board of Services for the Elderly member and Unionville resident.
