Time for Farmington Dogs to Get Their License!

Connecticut residents license their dogs in June.

Written by Patch Field Editor Jessie King

The Town of Farmington's website reminds residents that dogs must be licensed between June 1st and June 30th and that early renewals are not permitted.

Connecticut dog laws mandate that dogs older than six months this June must be licensed or their licenses must be renewed next in June at the Town Clerk's office.

It costs $19 to license each intact dog and $8 for each spayed or neutered dog.

When you go in for your dog’s tags, you must present an up-to-date certificate of rabies vaccination that is signed by a veterinarian.

The dog tags need to be attached to the dog’s collar.
