Tails are wagging all across central Connecticut: the Best Friends Pet Care Treat Truck for Dogs is coming with free cookies and ice cream for canines.
The colorful truck, operated by Best Friends Pet Care of Bethany, will be visiting central Connecticut dog parks and pet-friendly locations in the next week, starting with a visit to Rocky Hill Sunday morning. The Treat Truck will also make stops in Windsor, Hartford and Wethersfield Sunday.
Other stops next week include Newington, Glastonbury, South Windsor, Bristol, Southington, Simsbury, Granby and Canton (click here for full schedule, venues and details).
At each stop, the staff will give away free doggy ice cream treats, cookies for puppies and healthy treats for their human companions, along with fun items like tennis balls, paw towels and paw-shaped bag clips.
The truck started its journey last summer, and has since cut a swath across the country, including stops in Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. It spent the first part of May in Fairfield County, and has made stops in recent days in Hamden, Meriden, Middlefield, Naugatuck, Branford, Cheshire and Plantsville.
