VIDEO: Humane Society's Pet Of The Week

Domestic short hair cat is available for adoption.

Fu-Man knows how to play and live with others quite well. He is a domestic short hair cat who the Connecticut Humane Society is hoping that someone will want to take home.

The 4-year-old cat, who gets his name from his mustache, can live in a home with other cats, dogs and children over the age of 6. His former family brought him to the shelter because they were allergic to the feline.

"Fu-Man would enjoy the love and attention of his own family once again so come on down and meet him, you may find the new friend you've been looking for," according to the Connecticut Humane Society website.

If you are interested in Fu-Man or any of the other animals at the Connecticut Humane Society, log onto its website to see a gallery of all the adoptable pets and to learn about the adoption rules and procedures.

A 4-year-old is still available for adoption, however all the other pets previously documented on Patch have been adopted.

The Connecticut Humane Society is located at 701 Russell Road in Newington and its phone number is 800-452-0114. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you have plenty of pets at home but still want to help out these great animals, the Humane Society is always accepting donations of food, toys and supplies.
