Canton’s Gallery on the Green, 52nd Anniversary Members Show
July 6 – August 5

The Gallery on the Green will present its’ 52nd Anniversary Show that will run from July 6 – August 5.
The Anniversary show will be on the ground level in the Founder’s Gallery and in the Upper Gallery.
A handicapped access entrance has just recently been added to service the ground level Founder’s Gallery.
Christina Boyson will be featured in the upstairs Spotlight Gallery, with her photographic works titled “Sea Treasures”.  Coupled with the photographs is an original poem that tells of treasures found at the seashore written by the artist. The process used to create the images is an alternative photography method called “Emulsion Lifts” or “Polaroid Transfers”. The end results are small intimate images full of character, wrinkled and crinkled, tissue paper thin, colorful and delicate.
The opening receptions for the two shows will be held at the same time and the public is warmly invited.
The gallery is located within sight of Rt. 44 at 5 Canton Green Rd., Canton, Ct.
Hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 5 pm.

The gallery web site, www.galleryonthegreen.org provides further information about the Gallery on the Green, its artist members, membership opportunities and current shows.
The Gallery on the Green was established in 1960 and is the longest running artist’s guild in Connecticut.  Incorporated as the Canton Artist’s Guild, it was created for artists and their supporters as a non-profit organization.
The Guild consists of a very diverse and vibrant group of artists.  New members are welcome.  Housed in an historic schoolhouse (circa 1872), the gallery has a main exhibition space on the ground floor called the Founder’s Gallery, and a small marketplace and two gallery spaces upstairs.
