Alta was founded as La Primavera Consort in 1983 when founding members Gwen Winkel and Paul Flight [ currently with The Concord Ensemble ] discovered their love of recorder music. Currently Alta performs a regular concert series at Trinity Episcopal Church, sharing their love of early music with the greater Hartford area.

The Friends of the Farmington Library invite the Farmington Community to come and listen to these extraordinary sounds produced from an expanded  collection of renaissance wind instruments presented by Alta.
