Artist Joan Levy will display her work in the Gilbert Gallery at Miss Porter’s School from November 3 through 30. Ms. Levy will show her collection of paintings and drawings. The Gilbert Gallery is located at 60 Main Street, Farmington. Visitors should check in with the receptionist before proceeding to the exhibit. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Ms. Levy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute, and studied with Willem de Kooning from 1969 to 1985. Her work has been exhibited widely, including at the Alan Stone Gallery in New York and the Tse-Tse Gallery in New London, Conn. Ms. Levy offers art classes from her private nature preserve in Killingworth, Conn.
