Sink in to the magic of the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival at Hill-Stead Museum. The bi-weekly summer poetry event continues on July 11, featuring newly appointed U. S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey! The evening begins at 5pm with the prelude talk about Trethewey by John Stanizzi in the Makeshift Theater. At 6:15 move into the Garden to hear the Music of Rani Arbo and daisy mayhem. Then hear the spoken word of 2nd place Sunken Garden Poetry Prize winner Sue Burton followed by Natasha Threthewey at 7:30. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food and wine and enjoy the beauty of the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival. Food and drinks are also available for purchase on site.
