In this enticing art history and unique art class you will have an opportunity to experience both left and right brained activity! Harriet Winograd will present a comprehensive lecture and slide presentation based on the lives, relationships and aesthetics of four charismatic artist couples once living in the United States. Discussion afterwards.
Using these artists as inspiration, Deb Wadsworth will teach students how to explore their own inner resources for creating exercises using mixed media/collage and wet and dry graphite on paper. These ideas will then be applied to the completion of a project to be finalized in the last two sessions.
Students best suited for this class would be those who are open to the experiential exploration of combining the theoretical mind with hands-on creativity. Some drawing and painting background would be helpful but is not necessary. Just come and enjoy the process and see what happens!
