Farmington Photographer on Exhibit at Matthew's

Exhibit features snow-covered images from all over Farmington.

Matthew's Restaurant in Unionville is currently exhibiting a collection of winter work by Farmington photographer Carol Lowbeer. The show features a selection of Farmington valley sites in the snowiest days of the year. Included are nature scenes throughout the valley as well as historic snow-covered buildings including the Samuel Cowles and Deming Lewis House in Farmington, the Pine Grove School in Avon and Collinsville’s old Axe Factory. 

Lowbeer’s photographic work features a creative spin on familiar winter scenes and has been featured in Elizabeth Park’s Pond House gallery, Stanley Whitman House’s Spear Gallery, UConn Medical Center & many other sites. Lowbeer uses photographic special effects such as watercolor, pen and ink and charcoal which enhance her photography and the emphasize the beauty and spirit of the area. 

Matthews Restaurant is located in Unionville by the Steel Bridge near the Farmington River and is open 7 days a week. Hours are Monday, 4 to 9PM, Tuesday & Thursday, 11:30 to 9:00 PM, Friday-Saturday, 11:30-10PM and Sunday noon to 8:00 PM.  More of Carol work can be viewed on her website, www.caroleenaphotography.com or by emailing her at carollowbeer@comcast.net.
