U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) toured Turbine Technologies in Farmington on Friday.

At the visit, he discussed the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2013, which will expire at the end of December. But Blumenthal is pushing to extend the program. He has "introduced legislation that will extend the act through 2016," according to a press release from Blumenthal's staff.

"The Vow to Hire Heroes Act provides important tax credits for companies that employ returning service members and veterans," the press release states.
