Farmington Chamber Hosts BYOL Seminar

Presentation to feature Matthew Graffagnino, CFP from Haviland & Sams, discussing retirement.

The Farmington Chamber of Commerce will host a BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) seminar on Jan. 17, 2013 at noon.

This month's presentation will feature speaker Matthew Graffagnino, CFP from Haviland & Sams, discussing "Your Roadmap to a Successful Retirement." He will cover the potential issues we face preparing for and in retirement, as well as the risks and benefits associated with investing.

The seminar will likely run about an hour with a presentation followed by a Q & A session. It will be located in the Sandler Training Center at 2 Bridgewater Road, Suite 2 in Farmington.

Graffagnino began his financial career with Haviland & Sams in 2009. In addition to advising clients, he is responsible for managing the client service activities of the firm. Prior to joining Haviland & Sams, Graffagnino served in Iraq and Afghanistan attaining the rank of Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan and is a graduate of the airborne school at Fort Benning, Georgia. 

Graffagnino believes that the cornerstone of effective financial planning is the recognition that everyone's financial needs and life situation are unique. A sound financial plan must focus on the stage of life that an individual has reached. 

He is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he majored in Finance. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation after extensive study and the passing of a rigorous exam. 

Graffagnino actively serves his church and community. He and his wife Niky reside in Unionville, CT and are the proud parents of three children, Branden, Tyler and Logan.
