Farmington Gardens Banquet Hall Opening Announced

Former home of Lexington Gardens will host May 19 event.

The transformation of the former Lexington Gardens Garden Center and Flower Shop into Greater Hartford’s newest special events facility is almost complete.

A May 19 opening is planned.

Owner and Project Manager Phil Chabot said “Construction delays pushed back the opening several months, but Farmington Gardens will be ready for our first event, the 10th Annual Farmington Rotary Wine Tasting, Wine in the Gardens, and we are booking events now for June and beyond.”

“I decided to open the business to give my sister a job,” Chabot joked, referring to Katrina Chabot, who will be graduating from Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts this spring. She will be joined by a “well-known chef.”

Farmington Gardens, “A Special Place for Special Occasions,” is family-owned and operated. Brothers Christopher and Nicholas will serve as bar manager and business manager, respectively.

“People will be amazed at the enchanted garden that’s been created behind the gates, overlooking the meadows” said Marketing Manager Lindsay Ryan. Landscaping includes a koi pond, gazebo, and patio. “The natural beauty of the location, and the restored barn and silo have created a contemporary atmosphere that is elegant, yet rustic. People will love this space,” Ryan added.
