What's the New Thanksgiving Eve Farmington Reunion Spot?

Murphy & Scarletti's closed within the last year, so where will you go instead the night before Thanksgiving?

Up to last year, it was a tradition for Farmington High School graduates of age to gather at Murphy & Scarletti's in The Exchange the night before Thanksgiving.

But since the popular bar closed, that leaves Farmington alumni's next reunion spot for the holiday weekend to be determined.

There will be a new restaurant soon in the old Murphy & Scarletti's space, called The Tavern. When Farmington Patch stopped by on Tuesday, contractors were still renovating the inside and employees said it would not be open in time for Thanksgiving Eve. However, they are hoping to have it ready to open by the end of next week.

We asked people where they plan to go given that Murphy's isn't an option this Wednesday and here were some reader suggestions.

  • The Olive Bar (next to George's Pizza), 9 School St., Unionville
  • McGillicudy's, 81 South Main St., Unionville
