White House | Black Market to Open at Westfarms

Retailer scheduled to open in April.

Westfarms Mall has announced that fashion retailer White House | Black Market will open its doors at the mall this April.

The national specialty retailer offers women’s clothing, jewelry, handbags and shoes, in black and white accompanied by a seasonal pop of color. Starting in 1985 as a separate boutique named The White House, the boutique specialized in solely selling white and ivory clothing and accessories in its hometown of Baltimore, MD. After a separate Black Market boutique launched, the two concepts merged to form the White House | Black Market brand. The boutique is owned by Chico’s FAS Inc., a Fort Myers, Florida,-based retailer of casual-to-dressy women’s apparel operating 1,225 stores in the United States under the brands Chico’s, White House | Black Market, Boston Proper and Soma intimate boutiques.

White House | Black Market is scheduled to open on April 26 on the lower level, near the shopping center’s Center Court. This will be their eighth boutique in Connecticut.
