Farmington Native Starts Socially Responsible Company

I want to put a brand new socially-conscious umbrella line on your radar, Jonas Umbrellas - fashion with a purpose! Founded by Josh Pavano, a Farmington Connecticut native, Jonas Umbrellas aims to connect the consumer with those in need across the world. Jonas Umbrellas has partnered with the Drop in the Bucket non–profit organization to reach 1,000 school children per well, promote sanitation education and save lives. Each limited edition umbrella sold is dedicated to a clean water well project in Sub-Saharan Africa. Your purchase is a puzzle piece, when the pattern sells out you will have funded one clean water well. Once you receive your numbered umbrella, connect with us on our website (JonasUmbrellas.com) for updates on the well project you have helped to fund. Also enter to win a trip to accompany us on a site visit and see how we are making a difference.

Jonas Umbrellas has created an Indiegogo campaign that launched March 29th (igg.me/at/jonasumbrellas) and runs until April 30th. Our hope is to spread the word and get the project underway to complete our first well by, August 2014. Please take a look at our website www.jonasumbrellas.com and contribute to support a Farmington Start-up!
