Farmington, CT, November 22, 2013 - Following the resignation of Paul Fiedler, Nutmeg TV is proud to welcome Chris Bennett as the newest addition to their staff. Chris assumes the duties of Technology Director overseeing the integration of company processes with the appropriate technologies.  He will be responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing technology initiatives within the organization while maintaining existing systems and providing direction in all technology related issues in support of information technology (IT), television production, programming playback, facilities maintenance and core company values.

Chris joins Nutmeg TV with over 10 years' experience in PEG Access, most recently as Assistant Station Manager and Production Manager at North Haven and Branford Community TV stations.  He has developed relationships with technology vendors, has led his former employer to instruct more college interns, high school students and volunteers than ever before and rebuilt North Haven’s TV infrastructure to match current trends.  Before that, Chris obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Southern CT State University.

“Chris has what it takes to maintain our current infrastructure and lead us to greater capabilities which are essential for our residents to have the best Community TV Station for their use.  Chris will help us stay as close to current trends as we possibly can” said Joanie Sutter, Executive Director.

Deb Rycki, Human Resource Manager for Nutmeg TV said, “We had many qualified applicants for the open position but Chris really stood out.  His understanding and belief in PEG Access for the people put him over the top.”

Formed in 1990, Nutmeg Public Access Television, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit corporation that manages community access television (public, education and government, or P.E.G.) for Avon, Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, Farmington, New Britain, and Plainville, CT.  Residents can create or provide television programs that are shown on Nutmeg TV's three cable channels.
