Patricia Boye-Williams Joins Murtha Cullina LLP

HARTFORD, CT (September 11, 2013)… Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to welcome Patricia L. Boye-Williams (Unionville, CT resident) to the firm’s Hartford office.

 

Ms. Boye-Williams, an associate in the firm’s Environmental Practice Group, advises clients on a variety of regulatory compliance matters arising under RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, CERCLA and related state laws.

Ms. Boye-Williams has significant experience managing environmental aspects of complex corporate and real estate transactions and has also advised clients regarding the impact bankruptcy has on environmental liabilities. She has counseled clients regarding compliance with remediation requirements under both federal and state laws. Her CERCLA experience includes representing PRPs at multi-party Superfund sites throughout the country, including counseling clients with regards to settlement with state and federal entities, as well as other PRPs. She has also successfully represented policyholders in insurance disputes stemming from historical environmental contamination.

Prior to joining Murtha Cullina, Ms. Boye-Williams served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, and also practiced at the law firm of Jenner & Block LLP, located  in Chicago.

 

Ms. Boye-Williams earned her B.S. from Cornell University, and her J.D., with honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is admitted to practice in the Connecticut, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan.
