Waterbury Regional Chamber Business Expo April 9 With 90+ Exhibitors

The Waterbury Regional Chamber’s Small Business Council will host their annual Chamber Business Expo on Wednesday, April 9, 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Co-Co Key Water Resort Hotel & Convention Center at 3580 East Main Street in Waterbury. The Expo is the Chamber’s largest annual networking event and is being sponsored by Comcast Business Class. The 2014 Business Expo will attract over 500 attendees and feature 90+ exhibitors, hors d’oeuvres, beverages, raffle prizes, and the event’s popular “Scavenger Hunt”.

New for this year’s Expo will be the opportunity for attendees to have the hard drive to their computers shredded and laptop-sized electronics and smaller collected for recycling by one of the Expo’s newest sponsors, Take 2 Secure Electronics Recycling Solutions. The Expo will once again also offer a special drawing for a $100 gift certificate prize for non-Chamber member attendees who enter the Expo with their business cards.

The 2014 Business Expo is sponsored by Comcast Business Class. Media sponsors include Waterbury “Republican-American”, WATR 1320-AM Radio in Waterbury, and Worx Branding & Advertising in Prospect, Conn. Small Business Sponsors include Barker Specialty Company, People’s United Bank, and Security First Insurance Group, Secor, Cassidy & McPartland, PC and Webster Bank.

Expo exhibitors are area businesses in the region and include accountants, advertising agencies, audio/visual producers, bankers, beauty salons, consultants, dentists, educators, entertainment providers, florists, home remodelers, hospitality and insurance professionals, IT professionals, health care service providers, manufacturers, media/TV companies, printers, retailers, area restaurants, social media specialists and many more.

Courtney Ligi, Waterbury Regional Chamber Special Events Director commented, “This is our largest annual networking event and in 2013 we had over 500 attendees. Our Expo attracts Chamber members, prospective Chamber members and the general public.” One of the largest chambers in Connecticut, the Waterbury Regional Chamber represents over 1,100 businesses in the Greater Waterbury region that includes Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oakville, Oxford, Prospect, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury.

The April 9th Expo at Coco Key Hotel & Convention Center in Waterbury will feature a popular “Scavenger Hunt” where Expo attendees will search for answers about participating exhibitors to learn more about their business. Scavenger Hunt winners will win prizes ranging from gift baskets to gift cards. All Expo attendees will also be eligible to win raffle and door prizes throughout the night’s event.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served throughout the night while Waterbury’s popular WATR-Radio will broadcast live from the expo. Raffles will be drawn at 6:45 PM at participating Expo exhibitor’s tables with announcement of all the raffle prize winners made to expo attendees and exhibitors at 7:00 PM.

Open to the general public, the Waterbury Regional Chamber 2014 Business Expo will be held from April 9th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at the Co-Co Key Hotel & Convention Center at 3580 East Main Street in Waterbury, www.cocokeywaterresort.com.
