"Give a Kid a Flag to Wave" sponsored by the Exchange Club of Farmington

Exchange Club of Farmington members prepare to start handing out flags for the "Give a Kid a Flag to Wave" program at the memorial Day parade in Unionville and Farmington on May 28th.

The Exchange Club of Farmington sponsors this event each Memorial Day at the two local parades. The members walk the parade route in advance of the parade and pass out flags for the young people to take and wave as the parade passes. The National Exchange Club has sponsored this for their local clubs to perform at all community events where large crowds will gather. The flags are free and a great keepsake souvenir of the occasion. The program was designed to cultivate a deeper sense of patriotism and to heighten young Americans appreciation and admiration for our Nation's flag as a symbol of freedom and sacrifice.
