Jonathan Peak and Nicole Veil didn’t let surgery stand in the way of their nuptials. The couple got married at the UConn Health Center in Farmington just a week after Jonathan had major surgery to remove a mass in his lung.
When Jonathan’s surgeon, Dr. Daniel Fusco, learned Jonathan wanted to get married, he made sure the wedding became a reality with numerous Health Center staff pitching in to make it a special day.
Jonathan’s doctors and nurses were among those attending the exchange of wedding vows in the hospital chapel and reception afterward complete with decorations, hors d’oeuvres and a wedding cake crafted by the Health Center’s chef.
