Board of Education meeting at West District tonight

Good morning, Farmington. The National Weather Service predicts it will continue to be soggy today, with a 30 percent chance of rain, letting up as you make your way home from work.

You may reflect on several Patch stories as you go about your day. Consider, too, that the fixing may mean several months of construction.

The Board of Education meeting is tonight at West District School at 7 p.m. This meeting will look at capital improvement projects, the school calendar and the energy audit, as well as highlighting some interesting discussion about new methods of preparing high school students to achieve at 'world-class levels.' To view the agenda, visit the website. One cannot imagine how carefully Farmington's curriculum is until reading Board of Education documents.

While people always remark that babies don't come with instruction manuals, UConn is offering something similar. teaches expectant parents how their newborn will look and act, how to bathe, diaper and feed and how to choose a pediatrician. Call to register.
