Thanks to Our Town Staff

Resident is grateful for the dedication of town employees and public safety personnel.

Kudos to our town staff!

It’s Thanksgiving and I am thankful for so much. Given the last few weeks, and speaking for many in town, I would like to extend an extra thanks and job well done to our town employees in regards to their response to the October snowstorm.

We all went through a lot for many days and our town staff was there for us. Even with their own lives disrupted with lost power and downed trees, they managed to create and maintain a highly organized and efficient emergency shelter at the high school that served hundreds of residents. Many worked 12-hour shifts for several days performing multiple tasks that went above and beyond their job descriptions.

In addition, our emergency personnel, police force, firefighters, maintenance workers, and administrators came together to keep us safe and move us back to recovery with the upmost professionalism.

That is dedication and commitment to public service and being there when we needed them most. I wanted all of them to know how much we appreciate it. Great job to all!
