What's Open, What's Closed on President's Day

Today is a federal and state holiday.

Feb. 18 is considered a holiday in observance of President's Day.

Trash and recycling collection will operate on the normal schedule this week and will not be impacted by the holiday.

State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses will remain open. The following is a partial listing of some of the holiday openings and closings. Readers are encouraged to provide updates in the comments section.

  • Farmington Town Hall: Closed
  • Farmington Public Library: Closed
  • Farmington Public Schools: Closed all week.
  • Banks: Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State Government Offices: Closed
  • State courts: Closed
  • DMV and AAA: Closed
  • Liquor stores: Permitted to be open
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Retail stores: Most open
  • Restaurants: Running on their usual schedules.

The Children's Museum, which is usually closed on Mondays, will be open on President's Day. Ski trails, snowshoe trails and sledding are open at Winding Trails.
